ISOPOLANT WF LV

ISOPOLANT WF LV
Low viscosity plastic, one-component injection resin

One-component, polyurethane, hydrophobic resin, which reacts with water, forming a plastic foam designed for waterproofing and sealing of concrete structures and also for effective stopping of water leakage.
Recommended for use on concrete constructions subject to structural dynamics.
Application area

• Foundations and underground walls
• Tunnels and underpasses
• Sewer systems
Features and benefits
  • Effective sealing of cracks and voids in concrete, especially at joints
  • Low viscosity - deep penetration with minimal pressure
  • Produces a plastic and completely hydrophobic foam
  • High resistance to fungi and other microorganisms
  • User-friendly and environmentally friendly: solvent-free and gas propellant, safe for storage and transportation.
Application procedure
1
Clean the construction with a high-pressure washer. Injectable holes of the diameter approximately up to 20mm are drilled with a hole punch at a distance of 30-50 cm at an angle of 45˚, in chessboard order.
The holes should be through, if it is necessary to create a waterproof layer on the outside of the structure and/or blind ones to seal fractures, cracks and other structural defects. Then, metal injection packers of the appropriate purpose are inserted into the holes. The diameter of the holes, the depth and their location are calculated separately for each case, since they depend on the state of the processed object and the technical specifications.
2
Depending on the temperature and moisture level of the structure, ISOPOLANT WF Catalyst, from 0.5% to 5%, is added to the resin to accelerate and slow down the process of foam formation. It is convenient to displace the resin and catalysator with a low-speed mixer (up to 300 r/ min), preventing bubble formation. Before application, the mixture should not be subjected to humidity, i.e. the container must be closed to avoid a premature reaction.
3
Then, the ready mixture is completely injected through the injection packers inserted (alternately) into the holes with a piston injection pump under high pressure (up to 200 atm), starting with low, and gradually increasing the pump's pressure to achieve the desired injection rate. The pressure depends on the size of the cavity being filled and the state of the structure as a whole.
