ISOPOLANT MS

ISOPOLANT MS
Low viscosity, primer / concrete based polyurethane sealant for non-porous substrates

One-component, low viscosity, deeply penetrating, polyurethane primer suitable for many surfaces.

It is characterized by its very low viscosity and balanced curing speed that result in excellent wetting, impregnation and paint-over time on different substrates, whether of high, low or no porosity.
Application area

• Primer for polyurethane coatings
• Monolithic or precast concrete
• Metal structures
Limitations
If the concrete is very porous, the material
may penetrate to a degree that no film is created on the surface. In this case, there will be need for subsequent coating in order to create the silica sand free primed surface. In cases of extreme porosity, consider the use of less penetrating version of primers ISOPOLANT GD.
Features and benefits
  • One component
  • Low viscosity
  • Easy application
  • Strong adhesion even to non-porous surfaces
  • Excellent wetting, impregnation and subsequent coating
Application procedure
1
The surface should be dry, with a moisture content not exceeding 5%. Before applying, clean thoroughly the surfaces from dust, dirt, rust, oil products, cement mortar, plaster layer, paint and other materials that prevent adhesion. Bulk particles, loose and easily peeling layers, and other extraneous materials should also be removed.
2
For the best result, the temperature during application should be 5°C-35°C. Low temperature slows down, and high temperature speeds up the polymerization process.
3
Apply by brush or roller, as well as by airless spray (operating pressure >200 bar).
4
The total flow rate is 100-300 ml/m2 in two layers. When using the airless spray method, the flow rate may increase. The waiting time between layers and the subsequent waterproofing coating is 12-24 hours.
